Legalize Apostasy supports ex-Muslims being persecuted in the UK, and advocates for the rights of apostates globally. As made clear on this site, the Sharia codes of both Sunni and Shia Muslims present a deadly threat to all Muslims contemplating leaving Islam. This threat knows no borders, just that the devout may have to act illegally under local laws – unless resident in one of the 11 nations listed in the Genocide Case document.
Muslims in the UK are legally protected if they convert, but in practice this is not the case. Harassment and intimidation are the norm, and physical attacks, death threats and killings are not unknown – as shown in Nissar Hussain’s case. But does the UK government not have a duty of care to warn those contemplating converting to Islam of its murderous laws? Is this not complicity in the threat to them if they later choose to leave Islam – as many do?
